Employee Benefits Trust
The Trust and the Fund were originally created for the purpose of providing and maintaining death and/or accident and health benefits including specified disability income, hospitalization, medical, surgical, major medical and other health care benefits, as may be determined by the Trustees for the benefit of the employees and for the families or the dependants of such Employees. There are three members who meet annually and when issues arise that warrant a board meeting. The City Finance Director is appointed to the board by the City Council.
Currently the Trust provides only Short Term Disability (STD) benefits to employees. Health, dental, and life insurance, as well as vision care is provided by the Verde Valley Employee Benefits Pool.
