The Engineering Division provides technical planning and administrative support to the Department. Engineering assists the street department with design of drainage facilities and streets. Capital improvement projects, such as new street construction, overlays, chip seal are coordinated by the Engineering Division. This Division also performs plan reviews and inspection of subdivisions and private development improvements.
The Street Division is responsible for providing safe and well maintained streets and sidewalks. The routine maintenance of the streets, sidewalks and alleys includes grading, pothole patching, striping, sweeping, removal of debris, weed control, sign installation and pavement maintenance.
